Stewart Johnstone awarded BAM medal

Dr Stewart Johnstone, Department of Work, Employment and Organisation, was awarded the British Aacademy of Management (BAM) Medal for Leadership at the 2023 BAM Conference at the University of Sussex.  

The BAM Medal for Leadership is awarded for sustained and outstanding leadership of, and contribution to, the academic community by a BAM member. The award is in recognition of his work developing and broadening the BAM Human Resource Management SIG (Special Interest Group) community and its work, where he served six years as Chair, as well as his contribution to the field of Human Resource Management.   

Stewart said “I am delighted to be given this honour by the British Academy of Management - it’s such a great community to be a part of and I am grateful to have been nominated.” 

The British Academy of Management has more than 2000 members and is the leading authority in the academic field of management in the UK.
