Journal paper shortlisted for SAGE Prize for Innovation/Excellence 2024
 
Dr Francis Portes Virginio, The Leverhulme Trust Early Career fellow, along with co-authors Professor Paul Stewart and Dr Brian Garvey, have been nominated for the SAGE Prize for Innovation/Excellence 2024 for their paper "Unpacking Super-Exploitation in the 21st Century: The Struggles of Haitian Workers in Brazil" which was published in Work, Employment and Society journal.
The winner of the SAGE Prize - awarded annually to one paper in each of the BSA's prestigious journals: Cultural Sociology, Sociological Research Online, Sociology and Work, Employment and Society - will be announced in April. The prize will be awarded to the paper published in the previous year's volume judged to represent innovation or excellence in the field.
