Hunter Centre PhD student selected for Emerging Research Leaders Programme

Zakia Jabeen, a third-year doctoral researcher at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, was recently selected for the Emerging Research Leaders Programme - Policy Engagement workshop programme.
She received a funded spot at the training workshop with the costs of tuition, board, and accommodation covered by SRAEHL (Scottish Research Alliance for Energy, Homes, and Livelihoods) while the workshop was delivered by Scottish Policy and Research Exchange (SPRE).
Zakia’s research focuses on understanding the strategic capabilities of social enterprises with a zero-waste agenda in India. She said, “The workshop was an invaluable experience, providing insights into effective policy engagement strategies for emerging research leaders. The programme also offered opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaborative dialogue on one of Scotland’s most pressing issues: forging pathways towards an equitable and sustainable net-zero future.”
