MSc Sustainable Finance recognised by CFA Institute

Strathclyde Business School's MSc Sustainable Finance, which is run by the Department of Accounting and Finance, is now part of the CFA Institute's Certificate in ESG Investing Recognition Programme.
This is due to the MSc programme recognising essential topics from the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. This professional certificate offers both practical application and technical knowledge in the field of ESG investing.
This follows our MSc Finance and MSc Investment and Finance degrees being accepted into the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme. This status is granted to institutions whose degree programmes incorporate at least 70% of the 'CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge' (CBOK) which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for CFA exams.
The CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing equips the certificate holder with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate ESG considerations into the investment decision-making process.
Dimitris Andriosopoulos, Professor of Finance, said, “I’m delighted to see that our excellent MSc programme has been recognised by the CFA Institute. This prestigious recognition showcases the richness of our MSc programme that combines critical thinking, myth busting, practical industry applications, and the latest evidence-based research.”
The CFA Institute's mission overall is to lead the investment profession globally by promoting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence for the benefit of society.
