SBS welcomes SME leaders to Scottish Impact Investor Readiness Programme

The new Scottish Impact Investor Readiness Programme, in partnership with Scottish National Investment Bank, has begun, with Strathclyde Business School (SBS) welcoming 18 senior leaders of SMEs to the Business School to focus on expanding knowledge of responsible growth and creating meaningful economic change.
The challenges faced in today’s world require businesses and their senior leaders to become more resilient, innovative and value driven to play pivotal roles in how and why we do business. This programme seeks to encourage ambitious businesses and their leaders to think about their impact and how to integrate this into business growth strategy.
The cohort is made up of representatives from energy, construction and health and life sciences to digital and enabling technology, advanced manufacturing, social innovation and the creative industries.
As a supporter of the Pathways Forward programme which was launched in September 2023 to progress the recommendations in the Scottish Government-commissioned ‘Pathways: A New Approach for Women in Entrepreneurship’ report - to increase women’s participation in the entrepreneurial economy - SBS is delighted that almost 30% of the cohort are female.
Collectively, the companies on the programme employ almost 450 people, have a cumulative turnover of just over £42m and an average of 17.5 years trading.
