New cohort of Stephen Young Global Leader scholars begin Strathclyde MBA

Strathclyde Business School has welcomed its second cohort of Stephen Young Global Leader MBA scholars. Following a rigorous selection process, four candidates received a generous fees and stipend scholarship to support them in undertaking the Strathclyde MBA fulltime programme based at the Glasgow campus.  

The SYGL scholarship aims to develop global leaders who will have a positive impact on business, management, and society. Alongside the learnings from the renowned Strathclyde MBA programme, each SYGL scholar benefits from enhanced leadership opportunities as well as being part of the wider community of the Stephen Young Institute for International Business. 

The Stephen Young Global Leader MBA scholars for 2024-25 are:

Mya Myet Thwe: Mya from Myanmar has worked as Senior Analyst in the energy sector. Mya aims to use the knowledge gained from the MBA to take on an impactful role in the sustainable energy sector.

Shubham Agarwal: Shubham from India is a Senior Project Manager with 15+ years of experience in multidisciplinary teams including in defence, tech and entrepreneurship. Upon graduating from the MBA he is looking to take on a role in a global organisation.

O’Neil Simpson: O’Neil is from Antigua & Barbuda and is an Attorney-at-Law in his fourteenth year of practice, specialising in criminal and constitutional law. He is undertaking the MBA to develop his leadership and management skills with the aim of applying those skills within the criminal justice system in the Commonwealth Caribbean.

Mudit Lamba:  Mudit is from India and is an employee of the Indian Government who has worked on the world’s largest food welfare programme for the Government’s Food Corporation. His range of experience includes policy making and execution, human resource management and operations. Mudit is pursuing an MBA with the intention of improving outcomes and streamlining processes within public sector organisations.
