MBA conference takes place at TIC

Strathclyde Business School is hosting its annual MBA Conference jointly with the University of Edinburgh Business School and Glasgow University's Adam Smith Business School at Strathclyde University's Technology & Innovation Centre today (February 21).
Dozens of business and industry representatives will be joining MBA students from each of the three business schools at the day long event with Associate Principal and Executive Dean of Strathclyde Business School Professor David Hillier welcoming everyone to the conference. Strathclyde alumna Dr Lena Wilson, Chair of First Group plc will then make the opening remarks of the conference.
Lena has had a global career in economic development and in the private sector across a range of industries. She was CEO of Scottish Enterprise for eight years and CEO of Scottish Development International for four years. She has served on the boards of Scottish Power Renewables Ltd and Intertek Group plc, has chaired AGS Airports Ltd and was a Senior Investment Advisor to The World Bank in Washington DC. Lena now has a varied portfolio of Chair and Non-Executive roles, small company investment, advisory and is an active Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde.
The first morning panel event will be on Entrepreneurial Mindset with the second panel event focusing on AI-Driven Decision Making. After lunch the first panel will centre on Sustainability and will discuss the issues of balancing profit, people and the planet. This will be followed by a session on Skills for the Future which will discuss what firms are looking for in the next generation of constultants. All panels will feature representatives with expertise and insight into each of the panel subjects.
A networking social event will follow the conclusion of the conference.
