SBS announces UK-first partnership with Financial Modeling Institute

Strathclyde Business School is proud to announce a new, UK-first partnership with the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI), providing all Accounting and Finance master’s students with free access to the highly regarded FMI Foundations programme. This initiative aims to enhance the employability prospects of students by equipping them with essential industry-relevant skills that complement the academic knowledge and skills gained during their master’s studies.

The Financial Modeling Institute promotes awareness, excellence, and discipline in financial modeling through its international accreditation programmes. The FMI Foundations programme offers fundamental financial modeling knowledge, including theory and concepts, to students.

During a recent Employability and Entrepreneurship online event, Dr Sam Cathro, Strathclyde Business School Careers Consultant, highlighted the dedicated services available to students and graduates. She emphasised the importance of initiatives such as the FMI Foundations programme in preparing students for successful careers. The Department of Accounting and Finance is therefore delighted to offer this unique opportunity to its master’s students. By integrating the FMI Foundations programme into their studies, students will gain a competitive edge in the job market, further enhancing their career prospects.
