MBA graduate's business is one of Startup Grind's Top 100 Global Startups
Executive MBA student Jamie Culpan, founder of STAX Feed Solutions, has been selected as one of Startup Grind’s Top 100 Global Startups and will be heading off to Silicon Valley in the USA in April to pitch to potential investors.
Celebrating over a decade of innovation, the conference stands as Silicon Valley's longest-running tech event. Since it started in 2013, it has grown from hosting 500 early adopters to over 10,000.
Jamie will be networking with up and coming entrepreneurs from around the world, taking part in quickfire pitch sessions and hearing inspiring speeches from established entrepreneurs through a schedule of talks addressing AI, fundraising, emerging trends, brand building, and innovation.
The StartUp Exhibition features a showcase of startups from around the world – and Jamie, who did his MBA from 2022-2024, will be pitching STAX Feed Solutions to the range of investors and fellow entrepreneurs who will be at the conference.
STAX is pioneering a new era in sustainable agriculture, producing the world’s first fully circular animal feed pellet by integrating vertical farming, insect farming, and pellet processing—eliminating reliance on environmentally damaging feed sources like soy and fishmeal.
Jamie is hoping his trip to Silicon Valley will boost his business, saying, “We will be pitching on stage in front of investors representing over $20 billion in assets under management. Our goal is to raise $7.5 million (£5.9M) in funding in exchange for 20% equity, backing a business that carries minimal risk and has the potential to 20x in four years and 100x in seven.
“Beyond pitching, the trip will involve high-level networking, investor meetings, and exposure to some of the most influential figures in global venture capital.
“My vision is for STAX to be the spearhead of Glasgow becoming Europe’s Agritech Hub—a transformation as impactful as shipbuilding once was for the city. We aim to scale globally, beginning with our Glasgow HQ before expanding across the UK and Europe.
“Financially, we project 20x growth within four years and 100x within seven, making STAX a prime contender for becoming Scotland’s next unicorn.”
