SBS student named Marketing Society Scotland's Star Marketing Student 2025
Undergraduate marketing student Charlotte Jebson has been named Marketing Society Scotland's Star Marketing Student for 2025 at the society's annual awards.
Over 500 marketing professionals gathered in Glasgow to honour the standout achievements of the past year at the 2025 Star Awards - an unforgettable evening that showcased the very best of Scottish marketing talent.
Charlotte was one of two Strathclyde Business School marketing students who were shortlisted in the final four for the Marketing Society Scotland's Star Marketing Student award following the annual Star Marketing Student Apprentice Day in partnership with Edrington UK at the Robertson Trust offices in Glasgow on March 13. At the Apprentice Day, students from 11 universities and colleges across Scotland compete and work collaboratively on a live brief set by the team at Edrington UK.
Charlotte, who is studying marketing and psychology, and Anya Coulter, marketing and entrepreneurship, were the two Strathclyde finalists, with Charlotte emerging as ultimate winner - she will now receive a summer placement at Edrington UK. All those who have taken part have received a year long membership with The Marketing Society, sponsored by Edrington.
Charlotte said, "The apprentice day was an inspiring experience, where I worked with top marketing talent from across Scotland to tackle a live brief. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to apply my academic knowledge and soft skills in a real-world setting whilst representing Strathclyde and delighted to have been named Star Marketing Student 2025."
Marketing lecturer Thomas McAlinden said, "We are delighted for Charlotte as this is undoubtedly an excellent achievement, which she achieved against stiff competition. We are so proud of Charlotte representing Strathclyde so well in these awards and we hope she makes the most of the opportunities the summer internship with Edrington will give her."
This year’s ceremony, hosted by Amy Irons on June 12, delivered a spectacular night of inspiration and recognition, with accolades spanning student achievements through to senior leadership excellence.
