SBS Teaching and Knowledge Exchange Excellence Awards 2025

Strathclyde Business School recently celebrated achievements in both teaching and knowlege exchange in the most recent SBS Teaching and Knowledge Exchange Excellence Awards 2025. There were four categories for teaching and a Dean’s award presented to five tutors.

The winners were:

•             Effective and Sustained Contribution to the Student Learning Experience: Dominic Finn (Management Science)

•             Outstanding Support Staff: Chloe Trevor (previously Marketing)

•             Student Support and Building a Sense of Community: Lucrezia Casulli (Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy & Innovation)

•             Teaching Innovation: Juliane Thamm, Livia Pancotto and Rachael Nicholls (Accounting and Finance)

•             Dean’s Recognition for Outstanding Tutoring: Arnold Palamuleni (Economics); Vahid Hajiebrahimifarashah (Management Science); Princess Okechukwu (Work, Employment and Organisation); Turan Naghiyeva (Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy & Innovation); Pratik Gupta (Accounting and Finance)

Professor Susan Howick (SBS Vice Dean, Academic) said, “Congratulations to all nominees and winners - the panel were very impressed by their innovation and hard work. The awards were a great event, providing an opportunity to celebrate all staff who have been involved in creating an excellent student experience across the Faculty this year.”

Knowledge exchange was also celebrated within four categories.

The winners were:

•             KE Protagonist: Karen Morrison (Work, Employment and Organisation).

Commendations:  Karen MacGregor (International Partnerships & Exchanges) and Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL) APS Team: Christine Sinclair, Gio Cucchi, Houda Elmi and Findlay Black

•             Impactful Early Career Academic: Jane Johnstone (Marketing)

•             Innovator with Future Impact: Suzanne Mawson, Lucrezia Casulli and Sarah Dodd (Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy & Innovation)

•             Outstanding Contribution to Knowledge Exchange: Euan Barlow (Management Science)

Professor Lesley Walls (SBS Vice Dean, Knowledge Exchange) said, “The nominations highlighted the breadth and depth of SBS engagement and impact, with colleagues working in partnership with educational agencies, companies both small and large, charities, the NHS and policy-makers. Well done to all those nominated and the winners.”
