Professor takes on Angel Capital Scotland role 

Professor Niall MacKenzie, head of the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation, has been asked to join the board of Angel Capital Scotland as an unremunerated Non-Executive Director. The role will start from September 1, 2025.  

Angel Capital Scotland is the national association for angel investors in Scotland and one of the oldest in the world.  The organisation supports collaboration and development across the angel sector, including syndicates, individual investors and industry partners, both among members and wider networks.  

Since 1993, Angel Capital Scotland has supported early stage business scale ups in Scotland through its network, funder relationships, access to services and information sharing. Our members help generate leveraged funding for Scottish businesses, creating a platform for economic growth and transformation. 

The Scottish business angel ecosystem is recognised as a global leader and partners with the World Bank in developing new angel markets internationally.
