REF2029 Panel Appointment for SBS academic

Professor Anne Marie Doherty, Professor of Marketing and Director of REF for Strathclyde Business School, has been appointed as a full panel member for C17 Business and Management Studies for REF2029. Appointed for both the criteria-setting phase and assessment phase of REF2029, Professor Doherty’s appointment follows on from her experience as a full panel member for REF2021. She was also a full C17 Business and Management Studies panel member for the recent REF2029 Pilot Panel for People, Culture and Environment (PCE).

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) is the UK’s system for assessing the excellence of research in UK higher education institutions. REF outcomes are used to inform the allocation of around £2billion per year of public funding to UK universities’ research. Each panel member will have a key role in shaping REF2029 to support the higher education sector by providing a rigorous, trusted assessment of UK research.
