Strathclyde Business School and Quality Governance Collaborative announce new programme

Strathclyde Business School (SBS) and the Quality Governance Collaborative (QGC) are delighted to announce a new partnership to deliver the Quality Governance Fellowship Programme, designed to advance excellence and sustainable development in governance practices across corporate and public sectors.

The eight-month, 10-module programme brings together the expertise of both organisations, with teaching delivered by a joint faculty from Strathclyde Business School and Quality Governance Collaborative.

The partnership aims to cultivate future leaders in governance and quality, equipping them with the knowledge and influence to drive transformative change within their organisations and the wider community.

Marisa Smith, Director of Strathclyde Executive Education and Development said, "This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to develop governance professionals who can navigate complex challenges and champion best practice. By combining our strengths, we are able to offer a unique learning experience that bridges academic rigour with real-world application. Working collaboratively at every step, we believe this programme will suit a wider audience than ever before.”

The Quality Governance Fellowship Programme covers a comprehensive range of topics, including:

  • Principles and values of governance
  • Integrated governance
  • Contemporary issues in governance
  • Scrutiny regulations and governance systems
  • Ethics, data, and AI governance
  • Legal implications in relation to governance

Participants will benefit from hybrid delivery, with both in-person and online sessions, and will be supported in developing and implementing a governance project within their own organisations. The programme is open to professionals with 3-5 years’ experience in relevant fields with an interest in governance, leadership, and strategic decision-making.

Michael Deighan, Quality Governance Collaborative Managing Director said, "We are delighted to be working with Strathclyde Business School on this programme. Our partnership enables us to reach a diverse cohort of professionals and foster cross-sector collaboration. Together, we are committed to shaping the future of governance and quality leadership."

The Quality Governance Fellowship Programme will be hosted at Strathclyde Business School, with the first cohort commencing in September 2026.
