SBS graduate to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games
Economics and Finance graduate Lyall Craig will be representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, which take place from July 23 to August 2.
The 24-year-old Strathclyde Business School alumnus, who graduated in 2023, was officially announced as part of Scotland's cycling team in June.
Up to 2019, Lyall had never touched a track bike - his venture into track cycling only started during his time at Strathclyde University where he took part in a taster session and fell in love with the sport. Fast forward a few years and now he’s on the world stage as an elite track sprint cyclist.
Lyall has represented GB since 2024 and now has the chance to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games as the only male track sprinter competing for Scotland which he says is ‘incredibly special’
We wish Lyall the best of luck at the Commonwealth Games!
