Javier Enrique Gutierrez Abril was born and raised in Guatemala. he studied Industrial Engineering at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, graduating with Magna Cum Laude distinction. During that time, Javier spent a semester abroad at Wyoming University where he got invited to form part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars due to his high GPA. After graduating from engineering, Javier worked for two years at a Guatemalan food service company. He studied at a night school to get a diploma of introduction to finance from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. Javier completed his MSc Finance at Strathclyde, which he passed with Merit. One month before his graduation, Javier received an entrepreneurship visa from Strathclyde University for his unique idea Caribbean Goods. On December 2018, Javier registered Caribbean Goods, which he currently runs in Glasgow.
