Dubai alumni use strategy development approach to discover their competitive advantage

A total of 64 MBA alumni gathered on Strathclyde’s Dubai campus last month to work on their own personal development, during a two-hour workshop led by Professor Colin Eden. Using the principles of the MBA class Making Strategy, the participants explored their experience, skills, knowledge and personal characteristics to identify portfolios of competencies that give them potential competitive advantage and that align with their career and life goals. On conclusion of the exercise, participants claimed they were able to develop a narrative of their distinctiveness. Participant feedback centred around the usefulness and very practical output of the workshop.
