Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship undergraduate student, Alastair Lumsden, has completed a summer studentship with the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School. The studentship provided Alastair with the opportunity to work with organisational theorist and key academic in social entrepreneurship Dr Paul Tracey in the development of a new elective module in social entrepreneurship for the Cambridge MBA programme.
In support of this studentship, the prestigious Carnegie Vacation Scholarship for Undergraduates of Exception Merit was awarded to Alastair, providing him with eight weeks of funding.
“This has been a fantastic opportunity, and one I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am extremely grateful to the Hunter Centre for their support in securing the studentship and assistance in successfully applying for a full Carnegie scholarship – the staff there have been fantastic at helping me to realise my ambitions. I am also thankful to the Strathclyde Business School and the Carnegie Trust for facilitating my application for funding.
“Working with Dr Tracey has been an exhilarating experience and has provided an insight into what happens in the background of higher education. I hope to continue working on this project during the current semester and, hopefully, beyond!”
