Events management students run series of charity events

Third year Events Management students in the Department of Management will be running a series of events over the next few weeks in order to raise money for charity, and will also provide students with the chance to shine both academically and as responsible citizens.

Events in December include a band night on December 3 for Cancer Research; 65-Roses Ceilidh on December 3 for Cystic Fibrosis Trust; a Christmas movie marathon on December 5 for the Yorkhill Foundation; a comedy open-mic night on December 5 for the Make A Wish Foundation; ‘the little black dress charity event’ on December 8 for CHAS Children’s Hospice; and the ‘Keep Calm’ ceilidh on December 8 for the Yorkhill Foundation.

The full list of events, including times, locations and student organisers, is available by emailing class coordinator pratima.sambajee@strath.ac.uk. She commented, “Attendance at and support of these events will be highly regarded by the students and also increase the future scope of this class.”
