The Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship hosted a knowledge exchange event on November 26 at The Lighthouse, Glasgow. A new collaborative venture, with partners from the Third Sector and Public Sector, was launched which will explore how services and institutions can be adapted and innovated to meet rapidly changing societal demands is being launched.
Speakers at the launch event included Derek MacKay MSP (Minister for Local Government and Planning); Mark Batho (Chief Executive, Scottish Funding Council); Dom Campbell (Founder & Director, Futuregov); and Sarah Drummond (Co-founder, Snook).
Organiser Dominic Chalmers of the Hunter Centre said, “Each of our guests offered a different perspective on the challenges facing public service provision in Scotland, and together, the panel discussed a potential roadmap for bringing together key groups such as academia, the private sector and service users in the overall pursuit of effective public service/social innovation.”
