Professor Krishna Paudyal of the Department of Accounting and Finance has won a best paper award (with co-authors) in Corporate Finance in Southwestern Finance Association conference, Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 2013 on "Earnout Agreements in Corporate Acquisitions and Bidders' Gains".
The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Scottish Water which involves researchers in the Department of Management Science (Walls, Revie, Quigley) together with colleagues at Edinburgh Business School (professors Archibald and Ansell) has been given the top grade of outstanding on its final review.
The KTP developed risk and reliability models to support strategic asset management decisions. One of the KTP associates, Graeme Blair, a graduate of our MSc in Operational Research is now employed in the Scottish Water Analytics team.
