Companies increase number of MBA projects

An increasing number of companies, from corporates to small brand agencies, have committed to offering projects to MBA students which this year enabled projects to be offered to all full-time MBA students.

Companies included Aviva, Amec, Landis and Gyr; public organisations such as the NHS and Glasgow City Council; media and arts organisations, such as the Herald and Times Group and Cryptic; right through to small brand agencies (Wordtree) and start-ups (MacLoud Air).

Irene Aitkenhead Taylor, Strathclyde Business School's Career and Professional Development Manager, said, "In 2013 we were also able to offer opportunities for internships during the Autumn months and 10 students successfully completed these, giving them 6 months of practical consultancy to enhance their CVs. In many cases projects and internships have led directly to jobs."
