The Complete University Guide 2014 has published its latest ranking and Strathclyde has been ranked at number 2 in the UK for 'Hospitality, Leisure, Recreation and Tourism'.
The independent rankings of the UK's universities and the subjects they offer also places the Marketing, and Accounting and Finance programmes offered by Strathclyde Business School both as 4th in the UK. Other subjects include Business and Management Studies at 12th and Economics at 24th. All SBS subjects have an overall score in the 90s (out of 100).
The rankings look at entry standards, student-staff ratios, spending on academic services, good honours degrees, facilities spending, graduate prospects, completion and overseas student enrolments, as well as research assessment.
Strathclyde University as a whole appeared eight times in the top ten subject rankings.
