Team Revive reflect on success

After their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Texas to take part in the prestigious Richards Barrentine Values & Ventures social enterprise competition hosted by Neeley School of Business at TCU, Team Revive has had time to reflect on their experience. They each give their take on the experience below and you can see a taster of their time in the US in this video:

Christie Murphy: "The idea of going halfway across the world to compete against universities on a global scale was incredibly daunting but everyone was so friendly and made us feel at ease from the word go. My experience at TCU Values and Ventures Competition exceeded all expectations and I want to thank Strathclyde for providing us with this incredible opportunity."

Rachael Reid: "Our time spent at TCU's Values and Ventures Competition has been one big learning curve. The overall experience has been amazing and more than we could have ever hoped for. Team REVIVE are excited for what the future holds, as it has only just begun for us."

Fergus Moore: "The week in Fort Worth at TCU was one of the most enjoyable and enlightening weeks of my life. To meet so many people from so many walks of life, with so many different ideas, was both a great experience and a privilege. Winning the Founders Award I think secures in my mind that we went there with a great idea and really held our own against groups who had more experience and had been working longer on their business plans. It will hopefully open many doors for me and the group for the rest of our student lives as well as after we graduate. I would like to express my gratitude to TCU for making us feel so welcome and we would gladly come back again in the future."

Rebecca Richardson: "Having never been outside of the EU I really didn't know what to expect from America. However, I can safely say during that week I had the time of my life. The stories, hospitality and welcome we were given by the people of Texas in and out with the competition is inspiring. I will always look on the memories and lessons from those few days proudly."

Scott Kennedy: "Six months ago this started as a standard class project, but here we are now, reflecting on what has been the most incredible week of our lives. Words don’t quite do justice to how amazing our time was in Texas, the people we met, the sights we saw, and the lessons we learned. I feel we have grown and developed massively both individually and as a team and have come away from Texas with great confidence and excitement about the future, and we have to thank both TCU and Strathclyde for giving us this unbelievable opportunity. Go Horned Frogs!"
