Research consultancy carried out by MSc International Hospitality and Tourism Management students on the department's Industry Project course was mentioned in the leading hospitality industry journal 'Caterer and Hotelkeeper'.
The students had been researching the continuing importance of telephone reservations despite the growth of internet booking. The students' work revealed how hotels appear to be neglecting this potentially high-yielding source of revenue.
