Hunter Centre graduate’s Babson experience

Strathclyde Business School graduate Alice Leyshon graduated this year after studying BA Business Enterprise at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and has recently returned from a two-week entrepreneurship programme at Babson.

Alice got a first class honours degree and as a result of this was selected by the Hunter Centre as a candidate for the Santander Universities – Babson College Entrepreneurship Program at Babson, USA, the top-ranked university for entrepreneurship education in the world. Students from all over the world attend this entrepreneurship programme.

Alice joined a group of around 30 students and says of the experience, "The opportunity to work in international teams was brilliant, as it highlighted to me the cultural influence on individual's perspectives, improving my communication skills and broadening my own perspective. Overall, the experience was a brilliant way to round off my business enterprise degree at Strathclyde!"

Back in Scotland, Alice is now on the Edrington Group's first ever graduate scheme, which came about as a result of the opportunity last year to undertake a marketing internship as a Saltire Foundation Scholar with the Edrington group, working at the Famous Grouse Experience in Crieff.
