Academy of Management news

Dr Viktor Dörfler (Management Science Department) had two publications presented at the annual meeting of the Academy of Management (AoM), which took place from August 9-13 in Florida, USA.

The first was a symposium contribution co-authored with Professor Colin Eden on an intuitive method for researching intuition; an extended version of this contribution is accepted as a book chapter for the next volume of the Intuition Handbook that will be launched at the AoM2014.

The second was a paper on the creativity of top chefs co-authored with his former PhD student, Marc Stierand.

Dr Dorfler received another Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Managerial and Organizational Cognition (MOC) division and was one of the only four reviewers who got this award in five consecutive years.

Also at the conference, Dr Erik Monsen (Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship) was awarded one of two "Outstanding Reviewer 2013" awards from Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, an ABS 4* research journal, whose Editorial Review Board he has been sitting on since 2011.
