Charmaine Klima delivering the class address
Over 100 UAE graduates of the Strathclyde MBA and MSc programmes gathered on January 18 for the annual UAE presentation ceremony on January 18.
Ms Marina Makram served as Master of Ceremonies and the first address was delivered by Mr Ammar Shams, regional head of corporate sustainability at HSBC Bank Middle East Limited and Strathclyde Business School GCC Advisory Board Member.
The degree and presentation ceremony was presided over by the Executive Dean of Strathclyde Business School, Professor Susan Hart, who also led the academic procession, and delivered a congratulatory address to the audience of graduates, faculty, friends and family.
Professor Hart also awarded a class prize to a Dubai student, Ms Komathy Padmanabhan, for her achievement in earning the highest Financial and Management Accounting exam mark across the international Strathclyde MBA. Class prizes were introduced by the University of Strathclyde this year to honour the student who achieves the top exam mark in each subject where there is an examination.
The class speech was then given by Ms Charmaine Klima, who graduated with distinction.
Following the procession of graduates at the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates and guests convened for a celebratory high tea.
