Strathclyde Business School UAE teams enter Management Challenge UAE

There are eight Strathclyde Business School UAE student teams participating in the Management Challenge UAE which officially launched in January and runs to March and uses management simulation technology.

The Global Management Challenge (GMC) is the largest international event based on a business simulation with more than 30 countries taking part in the contest. The contest consists of a management simulation in which teams of 3-5, comprising university students and corporates, are given complete control of a hypothetical company with the objective of obtaining the highest share price on a simulated stock exchange. Competitors analyse financial and economic indicators, expand their views on corporate strategy, interact with functional areas of a company and gain an in-depth understanding of the market conditions in which their companies compete.

The UAE winning team will compete with national winners of several other countries in a challenge for the world title that will be played in April 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

Global Management Challenge UAE is operated by Beaufort Associates, a management consulting and advisory services firm, based in Dubai Internet City.
