Small and new businesses, both from the commercial and third sector, can now turn to the Strathclyde Business Clinic for consultancy solutions tailored to their business needs. Academics and SBS Business Fellows guide multidisciplinary teams of Strathclyde Business School students in diagnosing the root cause of the issues and design a plan of action.
On Wednesday 8th October 2014, Dr Lucrezia Casulli from the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship welcomed 23 organisations and over 100 students into the SBS Business Clinic Launch Event. Organisation representatives and students met and shared views on how the projects will be taken forward.
One of the participating organisations commented, "We are delighted to be involved with your programme at the University. We seem to have ended up with a great group of four people - and they seemed genuinely interested in what we are seeking to bring to market in terms of our space efficient and energy efficient buildings; it's always a great help to have everyone engaged from the start!"
After getting off to a good start, students will now engage into two semesters of intense collaborative work, learning from as well as injecting fresh ideas into the regional business community.
