Hunter Centre graduate named 'Young Inspiring Business Woman of the Year'

Jennifer Hope, a Business Enterprise graduate of Strathclyde Business School, was named 'Young Inspiring Business Woman of the Year' at the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB) Awards 2015 on September 18 in Glasgow.

Jennifer, who graduated with first class honours in 2013, started up the Wee House Company soon after and is managing director of the company. She established the company with her dad Ian Hope who is director of the Wee House Company.

The Wee House Company was designed as an innovative solution to a shortfall of new homes. Jennifer started off offering one style of 'Wee House' but there are now three different types, each of which can be customised. The homes can either be built on site or in modules at the company's manufacturing base and then transported to the required plot.

ASB supports business and professional women throughout Scotland. Their awards are open to business and professional women across Scotland. The Awards showcase and celebrate the success and achievement of women working across all sectors, and rewards their individual and collective contribution to the continued commercial success in Scotland. The finalists were interviewed by independent judges, who have commented how inspiring it was meeting so many women who are enthusiastic about their role and their organisations.
