New strategic partnership with Entrepreneurial Scotland

The University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre is the new home of Entrepreneurial Scotland – marking a new strategic partnership that aims to make Scotland the most entrepreneurial society in the world.

Building on an existing seven year relationship between Strathclyde Business School and the Saltire Foundation, this new strategic partnership marks both organisations' commitment to supporting Scotland's entrepreneurial talent and driving economic and social growth through innovative, entrepreneurial Scottish firms.

Entrepreneurial Scotland – which combines the peer to peer networks, Leaders Exchange and Future Leaders, with the Saltire Foundation – will now be based at the University’s showcase building in a move that is expected to advance the missions of both organisations by connecting top business leaders, academics and researchers globally to help drive forward a new era of business and economic growth.

The partnership benefits both organisations, by:

Sandy Kennedy, Chief Executive of Entrepreneurial Scotland, said, “Being based here helps us to join the dots in Scotland’s entrepreneurial landscape. Collaboration is one of the keys to making Scotland the most entrepreneurial society in the world and we’re thrilled to know that we’ll be in such ambitious company at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre.”

Eleanor Shaw, Head of the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Vice Dean (External Engagement and Entrepreneurship) at Strathclyde Business School, said, "We are delighted to build upon the existing relationship between Strathclyde Business School and Saltire and we welcome this new strategic partnership with Entrepreneurial Scotland.

“Working together with other organisations vital to Scotland's vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem is important and this partnership marks Strathclyde's commitment to supporting the Scottish Government's intentions to making Scotland a world-leading entrepreneurial and innovative nation.”
