SME Innovation Days

The academic team at Strathclyde Business School - Dr Aylin Ates, Dr Steve Paton, Professor Harry Sminia and Dr Marisa Smith - organised an SME Innovation Day on February 3 in collaboration with the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC).

The day included presentations from Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service, Weir Group and Jumpstart UK. The participants came from 30 different organisations and the majority of them were SMEs. Professor Sminia talked about ‘Developing an Innovation Culture’.

The next SME Innovation Day will take place in West Bromwich on March 8. The Department of Strategy & Organisation is collaborating with AFRC, together with ALFED (Aluminum Federation) and the Confederation of British Metal Forming (CBM) to organise and deliver the second innovation day in the series.
