Spring School is an opportunity for postgraduate students from across Strathclyde Business School (SBS) to network and collaborate with each other while taking a 10 credit elective class. Students are able to take any Spring School class even if it is from a different MSc course. By taking part in Spring School, students are able to gain access to SBS's most popular classes and benefit from the chance to study with students from elsewhere in the business school.
This year, Spring School took place from April 4-15 with around 150 students taking advantage of the opportunity. Available classes included:
One student commented:
“I completed my course of Talent Management and Succession Planning this afternoon, after a brilliant four intense days.
“Not only was learning intensively for four days very attractive, but learning about a subject from another department was refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and class - perhaps I was fortunate with my choice, but I felt it added to the BAC course and compliment much we've learnt about businesses, especially strategies in BAC.
“I hope it's an option that's continued in the future, where students are encouraged to select Spring School to gain knowledge in another field within the Business School.”
