Internationally-leading research in the Fraser of Allander Institute

Dr Grant Allan and Professor Peter McGregor, Fraser of Allander Institute, were awarded a Scottish Government grant of £76,065 for 2016-17 to provide input through the Scottish Government’s Centre of Expertise in Climate Change, “ClimateXChange”. This research will specifically continue to develop the economy-energy-environmental modelling capacity within FAI, in particular scoping the potential to better integrate with the Scottish Government’s suite of energy models.

They were also awarded a Scottish Government grant of £117,495 for 2016-17 to undertake analysis of agricultural system within the FAI’s suite of economy-wide models. This research will be undertaken with colleagues at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) and form part of the Scottish Government funded centre of expertise in climate change, “ClimateXChange”, enabling the outputs from this work to input directly into the Scottish Government policy community.
