Dr Kerem Akartunali and Dr Matthew Revie of the Management Science department are part of a consortium which have been awarded 3.9m Euros by H2020 for an Innovative Training Network to investigate Uncertainty Treatment and optimisation in Aerospace Engineering.
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and the Department of Management Science have been awarded an H2020 award for a four-year Innovative Training Networks (ITN), with universities and research organisations from six countries (UK, France, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Belgium) including INRIA (France), University of Durham, Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and German Aerospace Centre. Partner organisations include Airbus, NPL, and Stanford University.
The research programme, on Uncertainty Quantification and Optimisation, aims to develop researchers and entrepreneurs that will increase the innovation capacity of the EU, and equip them with the skills needed for successful careers in academia and industry.
