Strathclyde Business School students have again been successful in the annual Saltire Scholar programme offered by Entrepreneurial Scotland which sees Scottish students embarking on internships around the world.
There are 48 Strathclyde students celebrating at hearing they have been selected to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, with 25 of those from Strathclyde Business School. The Careers Service at Strathclyde supports students throughout the application process as well as alerting students across campus to this opportunity. A total of 144 students are taking part across Scotland.
This year 59 companies are hosting Scholars in key sectors including education, energy, engineering, fashion, financial services, food and drink, life sciences, manufacturing, technology transport and a number of not-for-profit organisations.
Saltire Scholarships provide students with the opportunity to work with leading organisations and work alongside global thought leaders and entrepreneurs. Strathclyde Business School students are heading to organisations such as The Edrington Group, Jabil Circuit, Silicon Valley Bank and Challenges Worldwide, with internships taking place both in the UK as well as Africa and the USA.
Saltire Scholarships are open to undergraduate students from Scottish Universities in their penultimate year of study and are fully funded through supporters and donors of the Saltire Foundation charity.
