Strathclyde graduates amongst ICAS' top 35 CAs under 35

ICAS have selected 35 Chartered Accountants aged under 35 for their outstanding contributions to their fields. Each nominee was considered for one of four competition categories: entrepreneurship; influence and innovation; leadership; and sustainability and CSR.

Amongst those selected are a number of Strathclyde graduates. Overall, the entries spanned across six continents and featured CAs from every walk of life.

The Strathclyde graduates are Stuart MacDougall (Assurance Director, PwC, London); Colin McLellan (Finance Director, Skyscanner, Edinburgh); Graham Stirling (Audit Manager, Grant Thornton Singapore); and Jamie Davidson (Associate Director, Johnston Carmichael, Edinburgh).

From the 35, four category winners will be announced at this year’s CA Dinner and One Young CA Awards in London on September 7, and one of the category winners will then be crowned One Young CA 2016.

Anton Colella, ICAS CEO, said, "I would like to extend my congratulations to each and every one of our top 35 CAs under 35.

"The response we’ve had to the competition has been phenomenal and we’ve received a record number of outstanding nominations.

“For each person to be recognised as a top CA under 35 is a tremendous achievement and is testament to the calibre of business leaders that we have in our membership.

“This competition speaks to the heart of what ICAS is and what we want to be. Our young members are driving us forward and instigating change on a global stage."

The expert judging panel will now proceed with the next stage of the competition to narrow down the winners from each category and the 2016 ICAS One Young CA.
