Data Lab Scholarships for MSc programmes

A number of scholarships are now available for Strathclyde Business School's MSc in Data Analytics and MSc in Business Analysis and Consulting (BAC) programmes thanks to generous funding from the Data Lab.

Fifteen scholarships for the academic year 2017/18 are open to Scottish and EU students only, and applicants have until May 31 to apply. All applicants should be able to demonstrate a clear interest in the growing area of data science and analytics.

The MSc in Data Analytics is a new course, designed to produce graduates with broad business knowledge qualified to work in a variety of sectors. The programme has been designed with input from the Department of Management Science in the Business School, and the departments of Mathematics & Statistics and Computer & Information Sciences (CIS).

Coupled with skills such as decision analysis, data mining and computational knowledge, students will work on real business problems as part of the course. Scholarship holders will also take part in Data Lab workshops.

The MSc in Business Analysis and Consulting has been developed to equip students with the practical, evaluative and analytical skills to allow you to influence and develop strategy and performance within organisations. The apprenticeship scheme forms a vital component of this course and each year selected students work with different companies on analytic projects. Last year, more than 35 students took part in placements with companies such as Capita and Tesco Bank.

Successful applicants for these Data Lab scholarships will be required to take part in Data Lab events - full conditions are available here.
