Accounting & finance professor receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Professor Christine Cooper, Department of Accounting and Finance, received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Parliament on April 11, awarded by the British Accounting and Finance Association www.bafa.ac.uk

Professor Cooper received the award from the Trustees of the British Accounting and Finance Association at the annual conference dinner in the Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh.

Life-time Achievement Awards (LAAs) are made annually to one or more individuals who have made a substantial and direct contribution to UK academic accounting and finance over the course of their careers. These individuals will have contributed via research, teaching or public service, and the award is only given to an individual who has spent a substantial amount of time within a higher education institute within the UK.

Professor Cooper has also been appointed to the Chartered Association of Business Schools' Academic Journal Guide Scientific Committee.
