A number of Strathclyde Business School lecturers have been shortlisted in the annual student-run Teaching Excellence Awards for 2017 which took place on May 17.
The awards provide students with the opportunity to show appreciation for their teachers, and how they have gone above and beyond expectations in delivering learning and teaching across the University.
Over 130 academic staff nominees were joined by University of Strathclyde senior management and the USSA Executive at the awards ceremony, hosted by Vice President Diversity Simran Kaur.
Teaching staff were nominated in three main categories:
Professor Phil Taylor of the Human Resource Management department was shortlisted in the 'Most enthusiastic' category, while Dr Juliette Wilson, Marketing, and Julianne Thamm, Accounting and Finance were both shortlisted in the 'Most supportive lecturer' category.
Professor Julia Darby of the Economics department was shortlisted in the 'Most innovative teacher' category while Professor Andrew Marshall, Accounting and Finance; Idil Edes Gallop, Economics; Niall MacKenzie, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship; Dr Alex Dickson, Economics; and Dr Juliette Wilson of Marketing all made it to the shortlist for 'Best in Faculty' for Business, with Juliette Wilson taking the honours for the category.
