Strathclyde Business School Dean, Professor David Hillier, and Strathclyde Business School itself have been shortlisted for two different awards.
The Business School has been shortlisted for an award in the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce's Glasgow Business Awards 2017.
The Glasgow Business Awards is a highlight of the Glasgow business calendar, promoting major achievements and celebrating success. Strathclyde Business School has been shortlisted in the Award for Best Performing Business with 51 employees or more.
The Awards celebrate their 20th anniversary this year and the awards dinner will be held on Thursday, October 5 at the Hilton, Glasgow.
Meanwhile, Executive Dean Professor David Hillier has been shortlisted for the Inspiring City Awards which celebrate the people and organisations that make Glasgow a thriving city.
The Herald has teamed up with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and People Make Glasgow for what is the fifth Inspiring City Awards. These awards celebrate those who are making a huge contribution to the cultural and economic climate of the city.
Professor Hillier has been shortlisted in the 'Outstanding Contribution by a Business Leader' category in the Inspiring City awards. This award, supported by Simon Driscoll Consultancy, recognises an individual at the forefront of business who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and commitment to Glasgow. Judges will look for someone who inspires others through their contribution with exceptional commitment, motivation, effort and vision.
The Inspiring City results will be announced on September 7.
