Invited plenary for Marketing academic

Dr Derek Bryce (Marketing) delivered an invited plenary at the 10th International Conference on the Inclusive Museum at the University of Manchester on September 17.

The special focus of this year's conference was "Diaspora; Integration and Museums" and Dr Bryce was invited to offer an overview of the four highly ranked papers he has recently published along with departmental colleagues, Dr Matthew Alexander and Dr Samantha Murdy, on the important market for Ancestral Tourism amongst Scotland's international diaspora as well as how the Scottish museum and heritage sector is adapting and responding to it.

This invitation was extended to Dr Bryce based on his previous presentation of work in this area at the Tourism and Leisure Studies Conference, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, in April 2017.

Dr Bryce has also been invited to deliver a research seminar on this project to colleagues at SOAS - University of London's School of Finance and Management on 17th October 2017.
