Bahrain MBA team in Challenge

A team from our Bahrain centre entered the Bahrain CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute Research Challenge recently. All four team members are resident in Saudi Arabia and spent many hours together researching and putting together their report and presentation - they were coached by one of the centre's Learning Coordinators who was in the winning team in the CFA Challenge in 2011.

Strathclyde was pipped at the post by a local University team. Dr Ron Bradfield, Director, Strathclyde Business School UAE, said, "This was a superb effort by the Strathclyde team, I was extremely proud of their report and their very professional presentation."

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a competition between university-sponsored teams that research a designated publicly traded company, prepare a written report on that selected company, and then present their findings to a panel of judges. The selected company this year was ALBA (Aluminium Bahrain) one of the largest and most modern aluminium smelters in the world.

The Strathclyde team comprised: Mr Mohammad Qatouni, Ms Modi Al Sidrah, Ms Hiba Qasim, and Mr Mohammad Abo Rashed.
