ActiGo wins Enterprise Pathways

A student team comprising students from the business school, science and engineering departments, has taken home the main prize of the 2017/18 Enterprise pathway programme, winning £1,500 towards their business and lunch with Sir Tom Hunter.

Their business idea - ActiGo - is an app-based digital marketplace for fitness businesses that connects consumers with providers

The team consists of undergraduates (Business, Engineering and Science), PhD and MSc students, namely Ioannis Michail Andreadakis (UG Business), Neil Harrison (PhD engineering), Richard Swan (PhD Science), Andrew Kerr (UG Science) and Patrick Zhang (Msc Business).

The team was mentored by Enterprise Partner Dr Donald Lawrie, director of Lawrie IP, and the team is looking to progress their idea with support from Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network (SEN).

A record 700 Strathclyde students registered for the Pathway programme and more than 70% of its training was delivered by Strathclyde alumni. As the University's flagship entrepreneurial training and development programme, it seeks not only to create and develop entrepreneurial talent but also to inspire business ideas with economic impact.
