Business book proposal shortlisted for Bracken Bower Prize 2018

A business book proposal by Strathclyde Business School's Sreevas Sahasranamam has been shortlisted for the £15,000 Bracken Bower Prize 2018.

Co-authored by Joel Modestus, Senior Manager, Flipkart Internet Private Limited,  Sreevas's book proposal is one of 12 short-listed for the Financial Times and McKinsey Bracken Bower Prize which is for the best business book proposal by an author, or authors, aged under 35.

Established in 2014, the Bracken Bower prize is named after Brendan Bracken, former chairman of the FT, and Marvin Bower, former managing director of McKinsey. It is awarded to the best proposal for a book about the challenges and opportunities presented by growth. Several previous winners and finalists of the contest have landed book deals with major publishers.

Sreevas, Chancellor's Fellow in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Leadership at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, said, "I was delighted to receive the news that the book proposal that Joel and I have put together has been short-listed for this prestigious award. We are looking forward to the next stage of the award process."

The winner will be announced at a dinner in London on November 12 at the National Gallery.
