Francis Virginio and Brian Garvey of Department of Department of Work, Employment and Organisation (WEO) met with the Unison International Committee, Glasgow on 23 November with Zaqueu Ribeiro de Aguiar, a representative for the Descalvado Agrarian Reform settlement, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The settlement was the focus of a previous Strathclyde ESPRC grant on community renewable energy and UNISON have pledged £5000 as a solidarity fund for the community infrastructure project. Zaqueu presented to Honours students and addressed the above Colloquium during his visit.
