Johnston Carmichael, the largest independent Scottish accountancy firm, ran a bookkeeping course for some of our new second year students in September. In this rare opportunity university students were able to experience some of the training which takes place in real accounting firms as well as gain a better understanding about the everyday life of an accountant in the modern profession. Unsurprisingly this event was oversubscribed and received excellent feedback from students.
