Fraser of Allander’s budget impact

February has been a busy month for the Fraser of Allander Institute following publication of the Scottish Budget. Each year, the FAI undertakes detailed analysis of the Budget with its insights picked up widely by MSPs from across the political spectrum and in the media.

Members of the FAI team could be seen (and heard) on various BBC channels in the days leading up to and after the Budget announcement. The FAI’s writings were re-published in newspapers across Scotland.

The FAI’s commentary on the budget also marked the launch of a new regular monthly column by the Institute in the Herald.

To cap it all off, the Fraser of Allander Institute ran a sold-out budget briefing event in TIC following publication of the latest draft Scottish Budget. The event was held in partnership with ICAS and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and chaired by the journalist and visiting professor Alf Young.
