Strathclyde Business School is delivering a new short course - Organisations and the Contemporary Business Environment - which aims to develop an understanding of a wide range of knowledge, skills and contemporary issues in relation to organisations and the environment in which they operate.
Supported by the Scottish Funding Council, the course is free for Scottish organisations or for those working for organisations which have a base in Scotland and are contributing to the economy.
Delivered online over the course of 10 weeks, supplemented by the opportunity to attend up to two half days on campus, this course will provide a solid foundation for understanding the relationship between organisations and the environment. You will be introduced to a range of tools for environmental and strategic analyses, discuss the specifics of developing and implementing effective strategic choices, emphasise the centrality of the concept of competitive advantage, and examine the impact of internal and external forces on strategic direction of organisations. This course will begin in April 2020 will be delivered in a blended learning format over a 10-week period via our online Virtual Learning Environment, Myplace, supported by the opportunity to attend up to two half-day on campus sessions at Strathclyde Business School.
